Shop with a Realtor
SERVPRO of Brunswick participated in this years event with Golden Isles Association of Realtors. The event took place on August 18 at the Walmart in Brunswick, GA.
Prior to the event Glynn County Schools helped us by identifying kids that need a little extra love for this upcoming school year. We meet the families at Walmart and hyped each family member up for there shopping spree. They were fitted for new shoes, picked out new pillows, headphones, and anything else that could help them have a more successful school year. The smiles were contagious throughout the entire store! Needless to say we know each of the children walked into school Monday morning with more confidence to take on the school day!
Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers and Howard Family Dental in Brunswick for all of your hygiene donations.
We are looking forward to next years event and consider ourselves very thankful to be apart of such a great organization like GIAR that sees the importance of giving back to the community.
SERVPRO of Brunswick is always HERE to HELP! You will always see our GREEN truck and crews lending helping hands to clean up storm damage, fire and water damages, to community action and safety initiatives.
SERVPRO of Brunswick Named a Best Of Homeguide Pro
8/2/2018 (Permalink)
The SERVPRO of Brunswick team is proud to announce that we have been named 2018 Best of HomeGuide Pro! We are very honored by this selection, since less than 6% of all HomeGuide professionals out of dozens in the area make up this list after having been scored on more than 10 variables.
Our team always works hard, performing excellent work in a timely, professional manner, and we are proud of the recognition we have received from HomeGuide as carpet cleaning professionals. However, being able to serve our customers in the Brunswick area is something we are even more honored to be able to do. Thank you, Brunswick, for contacting us with your cleanup and remediation needs!
Here at SERVPRO of Brunswick, we offer a range of specialized cleaning methods that ensure you receive the best service possible. These services include:
- Dry Cleaning: when color and speed are an issue
- Hot Water Extraction: a deep cleaning method for all carpet types
- Deluxe Precondition and Rinse: Helps restore deeply soiled areas
- Showcase Premier Cleaning: The most thorough cleaning method available
- Bonnet Cleaning: A less aggressive method used for short-pile carpets
Your carpets act as filters that trap dirt, dust, gases, animal hair, and other contaminants. There are proactive steps that you can take between professional carpet cleanings to increase the lifespan of your carpets, such as vacuuming regularly, removing spots, and moving furniture regularly to change the traffic patterns in your home or business. Walk-off mats will limit the amount of dirt brought in by foot traffic while pilating your carpeting will prevent matting.
A cleaning done by SERVPRO of Brunswick will address both moderate and heavy soil conditions in your carpeting, and a good rule of thumb is to schedule professional cleanings every 12 months to keep your home or business flooring looking its very best. Dirt builds up in layers, so when soiling becomes visibly noticeable, keep in mind that there is even more hiding below the surface and causing damage. Not allowing your carpeting to become saturated with dirt will help it to last much longer, while the required cleaning will not be as costly, saving you money over time.
Here at SERVPRO of Brunswick, we employ state of the art equipment to help you keep your carpeting looking its best. We are fire and water damage cleanup experts, too, and we also handle mold remediation. Keep us in mind for all of your professional cleaning projects both large and small. PUPPY LOVE DONATION DRIVE
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we all know it’s almost upon us, because everywhere we go, we see red hearts and boxes of chocolates, teddy bears and sweetly worded greeting cards that express our love to all those we love.
But did you know that a green box is also a symbol to look for this Valentine’s Day? That’s right; these green boxes are designated drop off sites for the Puppy Love Donation Drive that SERVPRO of Brunswick is sponsoring, along with many other local offices and businesses. The proceeds from donations are going to go to area animal shelters and humane societies to help them in their fight to save animals from homelessness, cruelty and starvation.
Here are the Puppy Love donation drop off sites:
Brunswick + St Simons Drop Off Locations:
- Pet Exchange - 2465 Demere Rd # 110, Saint Simons Island, GA
- Brogens North - 3600 Frederica Rd # 1, Saint Simons Island, GA
- Chick-Fil-A - 2205 Demere Rd, Saint Simons Island, GA
- Pelican Market - 1126 Ocean Boulevard, Suite 2, Saint Simons Island, GA
- Golden Isles Animal Hospital - 9 Glynn Avenue, Brunswick, GA
- Marshland Credit Union - 3650 Community road, Brunswick, GA
We are all concerned with pets who are badly treated and/or abandoned, and now there’s a way to make a real difference in the life of a helpless animal and show some love to the organizations in our area that are dedicated to caring for them.
SERVPRO of Brunswick will also be sharing event photos at various area participants, so make sure you look for the green boxes in your area and donate! You might become a Waycross area celebrity!
The team at SERVPRO of Brunswick is happy to be a part of the Brunswick and St. Simons Island communities and to be able to help residents in times of crisis. We handle fire and water damage, and are experts in mold remediation. Visit us on our website: SERVPRO of Brunswick, or give us a call at (912) 264 6094.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Making a Family Emergency Plan
1/10/2018 (Permalink)
Make sure your family knows what to do when disaster strikes your Brunswick community
Do you need to update the preparations for emergencies in your home? Is safety something you have let slide since you've become so busy lately? SERVPRO of Brunswick has a few key tips to help you get your emergency plan back on track before you need it.
Listen to the experts and research local disasters before making a plan
The safety of your family is your highest priority, and we completely understand. Staying secure is the top concern for our families as well. Before you make a plan, the American Red Cross says that you should consider the kinds of disasters you are likely to experience in your location. For instance, you would not plan for a massive earthquake in tornado alley, like you would not prepare for a tsunami in Wisconsin. The goal is to know what you are dealing with so that you can make appropriate preparations.
Put your emergency preparedness plan on paper
Children are as likely as adults to forget the steps to safety. To make sure that everyone in your home is on the same page, it is an excellent idea to print out a copy of the plan and place it in every bedroom or a central location in the home. This way, every member of the family has easy access to the plan and can practice it often. Quarterly or monthly practice sessions make sure the plan stays fresh in everyone's mind.
Plan for evacuations, and practice, practice, practice
No one can get too much preparation for tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes. Inform your children where you want them to meet you if you get separated or need to leave your home for safety. Talk to family members about the ways you will communicate when the worst happens. Getting your family as comfortable as possible with the steps to safety when disaster strikes is a vital part of keeping everyone alive in the long run.
For the times when there is nothing you can do to avoid danger, SERVPRO of Brunswick is ready and equipped to handle any emergency you have from fires to floods. Keep your family safe with an emergency plan, and when you need a trusted partner to help you get things back in order after Mother Nature flexes her wings, you can trust on SERVPRO to get to you fast.
Safe Harbor Coat Drive

First Annual Coat Drive
SERVPRO of Brunswick had the pleasure of organizing our First Annual Coat Drive benefiting Safe Harbor Children’s Center! Safe Harbor has made a huge impact on our community, and our Coat Drive is a token of gratitude for the ongoing work the staff continues to do in these children’s lives. Our original goal was to provide 15 coats, but with the overwhelming support of our community, we were able to donate 23!! Our goal for the Second Annual Coat Drive is 50 coats!
What is Safe Harbor Children’s Center?
For over 25 years, Safe Harbor Children’s Center has helped more than 4,000 children seeking shelter and refuge. Safe Harbor’s mission is to provide shelter and therapeutic services to children any age under 18 who have been abused, abandoned or neglected; who are homeless or have run away from home; or who are otherwise at risk or feel threatened.
Ways you can help Safe Harbor Children’s Center?
Volunteers help carry out the mission at Safe Harbor through mentoring programs and fun activities for the youth to do. To find out more about volunteering or to start the enrollment process go to https://www.safeharborcenterinc.org/volunteer/.
Donations are one of the most-important means of support for Safe Harbor. Without valuable contributions of goods and funds from generous people and organizations, Safe Harbor would not be able to help hundreds of children escape violence, abuse and neglect each year. Ophelia's Classic Car Challenge - Clean Your Vehicle Today!

Help your car stand out at Ophelia's Classic Car Challenge!
Clean Your Vehicle for Ophelia's Classic Car Challenge
Ophelia's Classic Car Challenge is coming up soon! If you want your vehicle to look perfect for this great community outing, these tips can help!
Focus on Air Conditioning Vent Dusting
Dust can make the interior of your car look unattractive and neglected. It can make the interior of your vehicle feel less than welcome too. If you want to give your vehicle a thorough cleaning job, focus on dusting the middle of your air conditioning vents. It can help to use a paintbrush or foam brush. Once you're done, vacuum any and all remnants of dust you see. If you fail to do so, you could end up with dust in other parts of your vehicle.
Say Goodbye to All Hints of Gooey and Gummy Substances
People frequently eat food in their car. They inevitably spill their food once in a while as well. That's why it's not at all uncommon to spot gooey and gummy stains in vehicles. If you notice any inexplicable substances that fit this description, take action as soon as possible. Grab a Magic Eraser to do away with anything unsightly and icky. Magic Erasers can do wonders for people who want to scrub their vehicle interiors to glowing perfection.
Treat Your Dashboard Leather Like Royalty
The details mean so much in the car cleaning world. If you want your car to look like a million dollars for Ophelia's Classic Car Challenge, you need to focus on your dashboard. Your goal should be to make your dashboard leather shine. Olive oil can do the trick. If you want to polish, condition and pamper this leather, a little olive oil can go a long way.
Make Use of Soda
Soda can be an asset for people who want to clean their vehicles well, believe it or not. If you want your windshields to look flawless and immaculate, cola is your best friend. Cola can come in handy for people who want to cut noticeable streaking on their windshields. Cola has bubbles that do away with debris and grime.
